Climate Change AI, Co-hosted by Google DeepMind
A two-day event hosted by Climate Change AI and Google DeepMind focused on AI for Climate Action. The first day was an event open to the public and open to a diverse community committed to harnessing artificial intelligence to combat climate change across sectors like energy, agriculture, and disaster response. Innovators, industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and media representatives gathered to explore how AI can enhance climate strategies while addressing critical gaps in data and capacity. Attendees engaged in discussions on successful AI applications, the ethical implications of its use, and the necessity for collaboration among stakeholders. The second day was a private, invite-only event that convened researchers, practitioners, funders, and decision-makers to take stock of the current state of the field, pinpoint opportunities and gaps, and forge collaborations in service of better advancing the space, through a combination of plenary content and breakout discussions.
